When watching our video presentations on Phoca extensions, many of our users frequently ask the same question:
"Which administrator template are you using?"
The answer might surprise you. We are not using a specialized or third-party template. We simply utilize the standard Joomla Atum template. To achieve the distinct look seen in our videos, we have prepared a dedicated user.css file that seamlessly overrides specific default styles to create a cleaner, more tailored environment.
If this refined design has caught your attention, we invite you to use it for your own projects. You are completely free to download, install, modify, improve, or correct the provided user.css file to meet your specific requirements.

Installation Instructions
To apply these custom styles to your Joomla administration interface, please follow these simple steps:
- Extract the provided ZIP archive.
- Upload the extracted user.css file to the following directory on your server: [Joomla Root]/media/templates/administrator/atum/css/
- Reload your Joomla administrator page to instantly experience the updated design.
Customizing the Login Page Background
If you wish to enhance your administrator login page with a custom background image, the process is equally straightforward:
- Prepare your preferred background image and ensure the file is named bg-login.webp
- Upload this image file to the following directory: [Joomla Root]/images/template/

Phoca Mosaic version 6.0.0 Beta has been released. Phoca Mosaic is a powerful image editor for Joomla, featuring 7 essential editing functions and 45 creative filters. It includes a Preset system to save and reuse filter configurations across images.
In this version, we made the tools work on mobile devices, added more image filters, and simplified the upload process. Here is what's new.
Full Responsive Design for Mobile Workflows
Both the Phoca Mosaic Explorer and the Phoca Mosaic Editor have been completely rebuilt to be fully responsive. Whether you are managing your media library or making quick image edits on the go, the interface now adapts seamlessly to mobile and tablet screens, ensuring a smooth, uncompromising experience on any device.
Automated Upload Processing
To help optimize web performance and save storage space, we have introduced new upload parameters that handle image processing automatically:
- On-the-fly WebP Conversion: You can now configure the system to automatically convert uploaded images into the modern, highly optimized WebP format.
- Auto-Resize and Crop: Set predefined dimensions, and the system will automatically scale down or crop images to your exact specifications during the upload process.
Better File Management & Integration
Managing your assets is now much more efficient directly from the interface:
- Folder Creation: You can now create new directories directly within the Phoca Mosaic Explorer to keep your files organized.
- New Editor Button Plugin: We have introduced a new button plugin for content creation. When writing an article, simply click the "Image" button to browse, select, and insert images directly from the Phoca Mosaic Explorer without interrupting your workflow.
Upgraded Image Editing Tools
The built-in editor has received significant updates to give you finer control over your images.
Enhanced Cropping
The Crop tool now supports precise, numeric inputs for width and height. Additionally, a new "Maintain Aspect Ratio" toggle has been added to prevent image distortion when making manual adjustments.
Expanded Filter Capabilities
We have overhauled the filter library, adding new parameters to give you exact control over effects.
Customizable Focal Areas
You can now define, select, and resize the specific area of effect for the following filters:
- Soft Focus
- Focal B&W
- Focal Zoom
Custom Color Selection
The following filters now include a color picker parameter, allowing you to inject specific hues into the effects:
- Tint
- Filtered B&W
- Graduated Tint
- Duo Tone
- Neon
Extended Properties
Additional granular properties have been added to our stylized filters, giving you more flexibility when applying Lomo-ish, Holga-ish, HDR-ish, Orton-ish, Comic Book, and Pencil Sketch effects.
