User galleries in specified category

I want to set up Phoca Gallery so that users upload and create galleries from front end. That is not a problem to fix but I want all users galleries to end up in a specified main category for users.

Reason is that I want a few other categories in the root for other purposes.

Is there a way to set up this.

Example:

Root/Event images/ event 1, event 2 and so on.

Root/Features images/ feature 1, feature 2 and so on.

Root/User gallery/user1/ image 1, image2 and so on.
Root/User gallery/user2/ image 1, image2 and so on.
Root/User gallery/user3/ image 1, image2 and so on.
Root/User gallery/user4/ image 1, image2 and so on.

I couldn't find any setting that set a (basefolder) edit: should be basecategory for user uploads.

Looked over the forum - looks like that this is quite hard to implement (user access control/rights and so on).
I'll try to change the code to solver my specific task...

Hi, for now it is working this way.

In UCP the folder for every user will be created and all images of the user is loaded into one folder.

Yes I know that and that is good. But I am talking about the categories.

I would like to be able to set the users root category as a subcategory in the gallery root category.

It would be easier to organize the gallery front page if this was possible. I just want a few main categories on the gallery front page and those categories become root categories for a lot of subcategories.

I can accomplish what I want (almost) with different menu items, one for the event root category and one for members uploads root category. This workaround give me the front end view I want but it require some discipline from the people uploading images.
