Phoca gallery plugin

I am looking for a workaround
I use the phoca gallery plugin to "advertise" new albums and images on my frontpage.
Especially with the albums/ categories there is an issue...

The code works by excluding categories from being displayed:
I have (at least 12 albums a year over 4 years ) 52 (sub)albums/categories

So for November 2010 I would exclude all but the november folder and code would look like this:
having album 251 being displayed

phocagallery view=categories|imagecategories=1|imagecategoriessize=0|hidecategories=125,140,141,142,143,144,145,146,147,148,149,150,151,152,153,154,155,156,157,158,159,160,161,162,163,164,165,166,167,168,169,170,171,172,173,174,175,176,177,178,179,180,181,182,183,184,185,186,187,188,189,190,191,192,193,194,195,196,197,198,199,200,201,202,203,205,206,207,208,209,210,211,212,213,214,215,216,219,220,221,222,223,224,257,225,227,228,239,229,230,231,232,240,233,234,235,236,237,238,226,241,253,242,254,255,256,243,244,245,246,247,248,249,250

having album 251 being displayed

Now next month I create a new article excluding 251 as wel but displaying 252...this will work well for my december article
However... It will also start displaying the december folder in the nocember article, Which is a bit of a nuisance

Hi jan I misunderstand you i think..or I am being stupid

If I:
Click the phoca button,
i get select from
-> * Categories
* Images
* Image
* Switch Image
* Slideshow

Then I can only hide categories... however i can only hide an exsisting one...
Any category i create later will auto display in this post.

How can I choose to display 1 category only.... cause thats exactly what i want to do

Hi, for now there is no such option (to display specific categories), so this needs to be customized in the plugin (the sql needs to be customized). There were some guides in this forum, but it a long time ago

Thank you, No Worry...maybe a change frome HideCategories to Show Categories for a future release in the far future or such
