Directly displaying images in the pop up box

Hello.

Phoca Gallery shows you first the categories, then the images in those categories, then when you click on a particular image a pop up window appears of that image and you can list the other images in the category using the left right arrows.

I would like to know if the following is possible:

I would like to access directly the pop up window of a chosen image in a chosen category from an article as a hyperlink.
(I don't want all the pictures in the category listed as icons/thumbnails in my article).

Example: In an article an image (not related to Phoca gallery) would link to an image in a Phoca gallery category. The pop up window of that Phoca gallery image appears immediately with navigation. The other images in the category can be viewed also if the user goes ahead with the navigation buttons (left/right).
