Admin Images Blank Page

Hi,

I'm getting a blank page when trying to access the Phoca Gallery Images admin page. I can access the Control Panel, Categories and other Phoca pages, but not images...so I can't add any more.

My website (Joomla v2.5) contains a Phoca Gallery (v3.2.8 ) with 95 categories and thousands of photos. I suspect I'm getting some kind of timeout when accessing the Images admin page. In the past I've seen a similar problem but after a few page refreshes the Images page always appeared eventually, but not any more.

I have tried enabling PHP error reporting but still get a blank page, no error: I know the error reporting is on because I see many Gantry warnings across the site.

I'm out of ideas...can anyone help?

Hi, if you can see other php errors on your site, try to display the blank page html source - the error could be displayed in javascript, etc. and then it is displayed only in the html source

Did you test to see the errorLog on the server

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately the page is completely blank: No source at all.

For clarity, here's what I've done:

> Turned on PHP errors in my host's control panel.

> Access my Joomla Admin pages and chose Components > Phoca Gallery > Control Panel.

The control panel loads with some "Strict Standards" errors displayed.

> If I click on "Multiple Add" the following error is briefly displayed before the Control Panel is loaded.

> If I click on "Images" nothing happens for about 30 seconds then the page goes blank.
> If I right-click and chose "View page source" (Chrome), a new tab opens showing a line numbers (on the "1") and nothing else.

Any ideas?

Hmmm, nothing in ErrorLog (a Fatal error)?

Hi Jan,
Sorry...had to park this one for a while.

I had a look again today and I think I've solved it occidentally: There was nothing showing with PHP errors turned on and nothing in the error log. I tried using SQL to delete a few categories and photos from the Phoca tables (thinking it was a timeout issue) but that did nothing.

I then happened to click on "Info" in the Phoca Gallery Control Panel and noticed that I had turned on "Clean Thumbnails" and that this option was not recommended. I turned it off and the problem went away.
