This page explains, in plain language, exactly what happens to your data when you use Numerly. Where legal terminology is unavoidable, we've tried to explain it plainly next to it.
The short version
- The numbers you type in are used for one calculation and immediately discarded. They are never written to a database, a log file, or anywhere else.
- We store the result of your calculation (the generated numbers) together with a random, unguessable key - not anything you typed.
- We use a small number of cookies to remember your theme preference, your language, and whether you've already voted on a specific result.
- We show advertising (Google AdSense), which sets its own cookies and handles its own consent prompt - see "Advertising" below.
What we never collect
We do not ask for your name, email address, or any account information - there is no account system. We do not store the numbers you enter into the generator under any circumstances, in any form, for any length of time.
What we do store
Generated results. When you generate a set, we store the output (the numbers themselves), a public result key (so you can share it), and a private vote key (so only you can vote on it later). This record is not linked to you personally in any way - we have no way of knowing which visitor generated which result.
Anonymous vote totals. When you vote on whether your numbers were lucky, or whether numerology works for you, we increase a simple counter attached to that result. We do not store who voted, only the running total.
A short-lived, salted hash of your IP address, for abuse prevention only. To stop the vote counters from being manipulated by automated scripts, we keep a lightweight daily counter tied to a one-way, salted hash of your IP address - not the address itself, and not reversible back to it. This record is automatically deleted after a few days and is never used for anything other than this rate limit.

Advertising cookies are managed through Google's own consent management platform, which will ask for your preferences where required by your local regulations (for example, under the EU's GDPR/ePrivacy rules) before any non-essential cookie is set.
Advertising
Numerly is supported by Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technology to show relevant ads and measure their performance. You can review and adjust your ad personalization settings at Google's Ads Settings at any time, and manage consent choices through the prompt shown on this site where applicable.
Your rights
Because we don't collect personal data tied to an identifiable individual, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete on request - there's no record we could connect back to you. If you believe we're holding something that does identify you, or you have any other privacy question, contact us at hello@numerly.app and we'll look into it.

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we'll update the date below and, for significant changes, note it on this page.
