changing Categories View Setting options in Parameters

I haven't figure out quite yet how to adjust the Categories View Settings that are available in the PARAMETERS.

There are three options
• Categories View Settings (List of Categories)
• Categories View Settings (List of Images)
• Categories View Settings (Categories Above Images)

My settings are currently using the
• Categories View Settings (List of Categories)
view option.

How do I make one of the other Categories View options override the •Categories View Settings (List of Categories)• view?

If I want my categories to display using the •Categories View Settings (Categories Above Images)•
- how do I "turn off" the •Categories View Settings (List of Categories)• option
and
"activate" the •Categories View Settings (Categories Above Images)• view option

Hi, settings in Joomla! are "directed" by Itemids - by menu link parameters, try to see:

so it depend on itemid which settings you will get on your site.
