I'd be grateful if anyone could help with the following.

Is it possible ..

For admin to see a preview of an uploaded image before authorising without needing to authorise it and then see it in the front end etc

Can you set a default category for upload - I'm only using one category but some of the end users won't notice the select category box on the upload page

With the preview button, this only seems to work if I manually go into the file in admin and set a preview path by selecting the file. Can this not be done automatically as the people who will be managing the admin will struggle to remember or find the file

Hi,

1) no there is no such feature

2) no, this needs to be customized in the code, so the select will be changed

3) this is the feauture - the preview is other file then the downloadable - e.g. you only want to display conent of some pdf file and e.g. some sites and for donwlad you will paste the whole pdf (e.g. for registerd only)

Hi, admin can download this file with help of website file manager or ftp or other website Joomla! file manager. The problem is if you will add some similar feature to Phoca Download, then e.g. the Phoca Download can be so large and have problems while installing, etc. As it is opensource project, this can be modified for every site.

The problem is, you can implement some file manager to Phoca Downlaod, but why to duplicity other extensions. You can add some rules to preview the files - but then you need some rule for images, some rule for videos, some rules for zip, some for document, some for word, some for openoffice calc, some for this and this ...

So the only one solution I for now see, is to add a download link for the admin so admin can download it from administration area and check it on his/her PC.

So maybe some other user's ideas can be pasted here, so this can be added to feature request list.
