Creating New Category redirects to admin main page joomla

Hi,

I just started using Joomla and wanted to use Phoca Gallery.
It all installed just fine, but when I want to create a new Category I am redirected to the admin main page of joomla.

I tried to install an earlier version of Phoca Gallery but that didn't help.

I'm using Joomla 1.5.3 and Phoca Gallery 1.8.0.

The New button at Categories section links to:
http://mywebsite/administrator/index.ph ... agallerycs#

I couldn't find anything on this topic in this forum.

I hope you can help me.

Hi, it seems as if the Phoca Gallery tables was not created in your database, see your database, if the tables exist...

Hi Jan,

Thanks for your response. I already checked the database and the tables are in place. I even inserted a record. That record was viewable in Joomla backend but I could not change anything, because when I press SAVE I was redirected to the main page again.

Seems like allt he buttons for phocagallery in Joomla redirect me to the main page of admin.

Does not happen with other mods.

Got an idea?

Please let me know the names of both Phoca Gallery tables in your database

The names of the both Phoca Gallery tables are:

jos_phocagallery
jos_phocagallery_categories

On www.miggel.net (menu item: foto) I created a categorie and gallery by inserting a record in the tables with phpmyadmin.

By doing that I could change the categorie (as you can see).

But I could not change the gallery that much, because it won't let me save it.
And I can't create a new one.

If you want I can give you an account to the backend. I just started experimenting with a fresh install so there is not much on it anyway.

And I tried adding a new template, hoping that would help, but it didn't

So the problem is saving something into your database... Phoca Gallery uses standard Joomla! framework for working with database, so there must be some problem with saving into your database ???

Well, the problem is that when I click on the buttons SAVE/NEW/EDIT/Multiple Add etc.. I am redirected to the admin mainpage instead of creating or saving something.

Only buttons that work are the Parameters & Help button.

So far it only happens with Phoca Gallery. Weird science.

I think I give up.

Keep up the good work. I looks pretty nice and maybe someday it work for me.
