I am thinking of how to replace standard checkout to custom checkout using an event (just an idea).
Is it theoretically possible to do in Phoca Cart?

Hi, try to ask: https://extensions.joomlapro.com/ developers which way they used. They are working one ajax checkout for Phoca Cart. I don't think, such a complicated system like checkout can be made through events, I think, the overrides need to be used.
