Just loaded Phoca Gallery on a current Joomla site. I loaded one category and one image in order to test. Every think appears normal from the control panel. The file manager shows I have data in the folders. When I go to the menu item, the thumbnail appears just fine but clicking on the thumbnail gives me "The image could not be loaded" message. All settings are as recommended except the Enable Thumbnail Generation is turned on.
Please advise on what I may be doing wrong.

Hi, can you paste a screenshot to see which kind of error message do you get?

Hi, hard to say from which this error message comes, it looks like from some popup method, can I see the live site where it occurs?

Here is the link:
https://wd5ddh.org/index.php/home/home- ... to-gallery
I made it available to the public so you could get at it. Let me know when you are finished with it so I can put it back to superuser access as I flush it out.

Re: "The image could not be loaded" error message
Hi, the url to the image is wrong:
... //images/phocagallery/test/thumbs/phoca_thumb_m_airplane ride.jpg
it includes a space which breaks the url
So the question is, what caused it:
- uploading image with space? does to image exist on your server with space? If yes, change it to not space variant
- or do you have some specific extensions - e.g. system plugin which somehow overrides output and change links, etc. etc.

Re: "The image could not be loaded" error message
Hi Jan,
Thanks for the help. Still no joy. In fact is is worse than before. I have attached some images of a word document as imgur would not allow pdf or docx uploads. It explains the steps I went through and results with pictures.

Hi, on the imgur I see only first page.
When you add new image to the server, then go to image edit and select this image, then in list of images (in administration) you can re-generate thumbnails. If they are not created, try to check ownership and permissions of the folder on your server.

Re: "The image could not be loaded" error message
Here is the second page. I loaded both pages into imgur at the same time but it apparently does not paginate.
Here is the link to the document with contact info:
https://www.wd5ddh.org/index.php/educat ... l-articles
It is the last article on the page.
I tried changing the permissions but nothing worked. The thumbs file is 755 while the images is 644. I added the images and did the generation as a super user so there should be no reason why the thumbs are not writing.
Thank you again for your time on this.

I just noticed something interesting. While I can't see the photo in a browser, I can download it from the site using the download button on the placeholder for the thumbnail.
