Cannot remove license box using a file layout menu option

Hi!

I've created a menu option of file layout type. I don't want a license box to be showed, but I'm not able to hide it: although I've set "none" as 'license' as stated in a past thread in the forum, the license box (empty) keeps appearing. However, if I use a category layout the license correctly doesn't appear. Is there some other value I have to set?

Hi, you can set if license box will be displayed or not in: Phoca Download - Files: Edit/New : Confirm License (if there will be some, the box with license will be displayed)

Hi,

I have not created any license, so the 'Confirm License' remains set as '- Select license -' . However, the license box (empty) keeps appearing. It doesn't occurs if I use another type of layout, like category layout, but using the file layout I'm unable to hide the box.

You would guess it is the layout used from a link to a file in the category view layout.

Edit for additional information:

The reason you cannot remove the license agreement box and subsequent check box is that it is hard coded into the components/com_phocadownload/views/file/tmpl/default.php file. If you would like, you can copy this file into your templates/{assigned template folder}/html/com_phocadownload/file folder and use it as a template override.

You could then edit this view to your desired look.
