Stop thumbnail creation

Hello, I am a beginner and have downloaded Phoca Gallery. Now I get the error message "stop thumbnail creation" after a few days. After clicking on the message appears the hint, that after the completion of this process, I have to reset the "yes" in the thumbnail settings.

After I have done this and re-run the process, uploading images, the message appears again immediately.
Also a reinstallation of the program does not help.
What else can I do ?

I have the same problem. I have enable thumbnails creation set to yes. When I upload images, I get the thumbnail creation screen. In the top corner where it should show me the current thumbnail being created, it only shows the stop thumbnail generation link. There is no file name shown. I do not receive an error message and it stays on that screen until manually stop the thumbnail generation.

I checked the files in media manager and media manager displays thumbnails for all the files. They are all .jpg files.

I already checked the problem solving page.

1. The images are fine and so is the naming format
2. GD library is enabled
3. folder permissions are set to 755

I do not receive any error messages, so I can not tell what is causing the problem. As I stated above, the image generation page shows with the cancel link, but there is no text showing that it is creating a thumbnail and there is no error message. It just seems to be stuck.

I have been using phoca gallery for several years on this site and up until now it has worked fine.

Hi, is the error reporting enabled? Are there no error messages in php errorLog?

3) Even permissions are set to 755 there can be problem when writing without ownership

What about memory? Which size of the images do you use? What if you test some really small image (e.g. 100Kb) to test if there are no problems with memory?
