No way to change thumbnail/image order

I've been trying to change the thumbnail/image order from "title descending" to "ordering ascending" (I want to arrange the images manually in the backend), but I've encountered a problem.
The order doesn't change, no matter which option I choose in the Phoca Options. I changed the image order to "ordering ascending" in both Categories View and Category View, just to be sure.

I'm using Phoca Gallery version 4.3.4 and Joomla 3.7.2

EDIT: Just to add - there's no "order by ordering" option on the dropdown lists in Category View.

Hi, "order by ordering" is the first option for ordering category view, see image:

Thanks, but it's not working. None of the options change the order of the thumbnails. It seems to be stuck on the standard, Title Descending.

Oh wait, I was using the Phoca Button plugin and accidently set the inline options to Title descending.

If you are using Phoca Gallery plugin, the ordering needs to be added per parameter:
