All Hyperlinks changed by Phoca Gallery

Hi,

I just started using Phoca Gallery. Indeed an excellent piece of work.

But I am facing a little issue. All the links in my website continues adding index.php in url every time I click a link in my site. So
lets say a menu url is http://localhost:81/tbis.org/index.php/about
When I click it and page loads, link changes to http://localhost:81/tbis.org/index.php/index.php/about
When I click it again, it becomes http://localhost:81/tbis.org/index.php/index.php/index.php/about
When I click on a menu link (http://localhost:81/tbis.org/index.php/daily-albums) which loads the Phoca Album and moves inside a category (http://localhost:81/tbis.org/index.php/daily-albums/category/62-2016) to view images on Frontend, all links append "daily-albums/category/index.php" and becomes as below. the last word in the link after last / is the original name of link.
http://localhost:81/tbis.org/index.php/daily-albums/category/index.php/about.

This above link should have remained like "http://localhost:81/tbis.org/index.php/about"

Please help me urgently. I have a demo planned for my site tomorrow.

Can anyone please help me on this issue?
I am using Joomla Joomla! 3.7.0 and Phoca Gallery 4.3.4 on WAMP server 3.0.6.

I have enabled URL Rewriting and .htaccess stuff. It at least it stopped adding index.php recursively to EVERY link on site on click of ANY link.

The problem still occurs when I click on any folder like icon "Categories" on site page carrying Phoca Gallery.

For example, the link "localhost:81/tbis.org/daily-albums" opens a Phoca Gallery based page where sub folders carrying actual images are shown. Now if I click on any of these folder like icons (localhost:81/tbis.org/daily-albums/category/210-2016) to go inside it and see images, every link on site changes as follows:

http://localhost:81/tbis.org/daily-albums -> http://localhost:81/tbis.org/daily-albu ... ily-albums
http://localhost:81/tbis.org/news-makers -> http://localhost:81/tbis.org/daily-albu ... ews-makers

This seems to be some issue in the code which gets invoked when we click on any Phoca Gallery category folder displayed on web page.

Sorry, but we can't do anything about WAMP Server. Whether or not configuration etc. are OK. http://forum.wampserver.com/list.php?2

In generell: when .htaccess and URL Rewriting is enabled, the: /index.php is removed. There is no need to set SEF locally. This can be done, when moving Online etc.

Did you create a menu link for PG? https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca- ... -menu-link

BTW: The current Joomla version is: 3.7.2. 3.7.1 was an important security release.

Thanks for your reply. The problem of WAMP Server I am ruling out because prior to installing Phoca Gallery, this issue was not there.

I already followed the instruction as specified in the links you shared to create menu item.
However, in the latest version of this component, i was not able to locate this option as specified on that link "don't forget to select the Phoca Gallery category in Parameters Basic. You can change the component settings in Parameters - Component."

The problem of changing hyperlink url for any hyperlink on the website happens only when I click on any category folder and/or any further nested category folder. I believe, some code in Phoca Album is processing url and may be rather than handling only own url, it is interferring with all urls across whole website.

Would be easier to see your problem live, e.g. on subdomain.

Check again: Menus > Main Menu > Your Gallery > Menu Item Type > Select > Phoca Gallery > List of Cat. View or of Images or User Control Panel
Options > Some Options / Link Type > select required etc.

If this is OK, then try to display SEF without .htaccess (no skipping of index.php).

As Christine wrote, did you create one menu link to Phoca Gallery in Menu Manager?

Hi,

Sorry for the late reply. Was too occupied in making site go live. We have made site live at http://www.trailblazersinternationalschool.org/.

There are two menu items "Albums" and "Newsmakers" after you enter into the website through Home Page.
Everything works well untill one clicks on any of the above two menu items and url of every link changes. I have tried all the steps in my local environment that Jan mentioned but of no use. I have used Joomla redirect component to direct request to right url when url gets changed after user clicks on any phoca gallery component carrying page. Somehow my production site is working because of it but I feel not fully satisfied as I had to do a workaround to make it work.

Something has changed in the code after installation of phoca gallery because the problem started coming only after I installed Phoca Gallery. Other extensions did not cause it. I use only three other extensions and tested by disabling them all but problem still remains as it is. And Phoca Gallery installation was the one after which things changed.

Further, if you see the the changed url pattern in live site it carries the url pattern of "Albums" and "Newsmakers" menu items and these two menu items carry phoca gallery component. That gives me a belief that something is not right at phoca gallery extension.

It would be really great if you can test it with latest version of Joomla! 3.7.2 at your development environment.

Hi, as I wrote, Phoca Gallery does not have any own rules for .htaccess and it does not create SEF link.

What happens when you only create one menu link to Phoca Gallery and disable SEF. Does it work OK.
If yes, what happen when you enable SEF when only one menu link to Phoca Gallery exist.

I now working on next Phoca Gallery version so my environment for now is 3.7.2 and see no changes regarding menu links there
