Hi, you should paste it into a HTML editor (TinyMCE) without html tags...

just:

{phocagallery view=categories}

no idea - the plugin cannot be converted to its function on your site...

try some other content plugin if the content plugin works on your site ... e.g. google map or rdaddphp...
