Repeating names or emails

Post by marioliveira »

Hi. Searching in the forum I couldn't find answer for my question, which is:

When I try to enter a comment using a name or an email adress which has already been used I am stopped from sending the comment. How can I deactivate this?

Hi, you cannot post the message with name which e.g. belongs e.g. to some registered user...

If you want to change this behaviour, this need to be customized in php/html code.

Jan, I think this is a very good idea to change this in the PHP-files somewhere.
Or create a way to swich this security-rule on or off.

Even in the Netherlands at http://www.dutchjoomla.org, we receive a lot of questions about this.
Someone told me; 'Be sure, you must logged-off out of the backend of the Joomla!-site' , but for me this was nog a solution.
I'm running a website where guests can post a message after every concert.
So it would be nice to break this security-rule. After that, these people can post a message every month.
Now, thats blocked by the PocaGuestbook-software.

I hope you can help us.

Best regards,

Wouter.

Jan, is ther an easy way of editing a file and changing this? And there is, how can I do it?

Thanks for your added help, Wouter, which leads me to a dount which I did not explore yet: does this limitation apples only to registered members, or as I think, even not being a registered member of the site, once you send a comment using an email address you cannot send any more with the same email address? Thanks
