show date in message

Post by snelsnel »

No doubt this is not a clever question, but I am a bit puzzled how to display a date in the message. I've set the date format to %d. %m. %Y both in the itempreferences as in the component parameters in the menu. I 've also tried "use default". Still I can't see a date, not in the frontend or in the backend.
The messages in the lost and found guestbook should be deleted after a month, therefor I would like to see a date.

Kind regards,
snelsnel.

You could be right there. What I would like is a datestamp with each new post. I 've publiced a guestbook named gevonden/verloren (http://www.hvspijkenisse.nl/joomla/inde ... &Itemid=78) wich can be best translated as lost/found. Messages in this book will be deleted within a month therefore it would be nice if a date (e.g. 9-2-2009) could be added to the post, preferred at the frontend.

Regards,
snelsnel.

Hi Jan,

I 've seen what you mean, there is a date, but the font color is white (the same as the backgroundcolor) and turns blue when hovered. I figure this will be somekind of css but I can't find it. Where can I find the correct file?

Regards,
snelsnel.

Just change the "2nd" font colour in the Menu parameter..
