Hi,
This is the first time I allow users to create galleries. A user can create a gallery but it is among the top galleries. Also his/her folder is at the root.
Is there a way to move the user gallery under another one, say "Member Galleries"? When I try that an error comes up:
Error
Save failed with the following error:
Parent Category is not asigned to current user
In the "member galleries" I set all rights to allow "Registered"...
Also it would be very useful if one can set a default folder/category for user galleries (I couldnt find such a setting)...
Thank you in advance...

Re: Moving user categories?
Hi, in Phoca Gallery, every user can have own main category (parent category). Every subcategory must then belong to the user. So if you have some subcategory which belongs to user, you cannot move it to another main category - it needs to be under parent category of the user. So you first need to remove all the ownership of the categories, reorder the categories and then you need to assign the categories to each user - but if someone is owner of subcategory, it needs to belong to parent category where the user is assigned.

Re: Moving user categories?
Thank you for the information Jan. I can see that what I want can be accomplished in Phoca Gallery... I will disable user control panel...
I think of the following scenario:
1) I create a "user uploads" category & directory
2) Let the users upload images only to this category (I'll ask them to create a subcategory for multiple images, the subcat will be created automatically but the images must be verified).
3) The admin moves the images to respective general categories.
What I can see is that it is possible to allow members to directly upload to main/sub categories, but this will "allow" them to create (try to create) subcategories in these main parts. I think this should be not allowed in my case.
Is there another better way you know?

Hi, see:
https://www.phoca.cz/documents/2-phoca-g ... ser-upload
there are two places where users can upload - in UCP - only to their categories - or in Category View - to all categories where there have rights to do - but then they cannot manage the images if they are in category which is assigned to other user e.g.
