thumbs cannot be create

Hi Jan,

I cannot create thumbs to add pictures in a categorie.
the thumbs folder has the database-rights RWX
also in the settings the 'allow to create thumbs' is ON (YES)

I use phoca-gallery version 2.2.3 on joomla 1.5

need your help

Hi, do you get some error message while thumbnail creating. What if you enable php error reporting and debug mode?

Hi, see similar posts in this forum.

You need to resize your memory in server settings or upload smaller images to gallery. This errors occurs because your server is not able to manage (create thumbnail) the images you upload.

Hi again,

I know about the memory-size as i read in the error-log, but i tried it again with only 1 picture with 9MB only.
i got that error again:

Allowed memory size of 52428800 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 4000 bytes) in ...../components/com_phocagallery/helpers/phocagallery.php on line 894 ....

you also asked me 'if there is some error message while thumbnail creating...' -> NO

1 picture with 9MB only

Servers are not like your PC, server can work with images up to 2MB (mostly).

Some servers are not able to manage images which have cca 1MB size.

Please resize your images, best e.g. to cca 200kb - 1000kb (1MB) and test it again.
