email sending does not work

Hello, When i choose the review function , and when the sending email function is activated, no mail are sent when a new post is recorded for the guest book?

Anyone can help me?

Hi, do you have enabled system messages in your template. If yes, do you get some error message after sending e-mail? do you have set SMTP settings for emailing?

Hi Jan,
The system message are enabled and are displayed correctly , But i receive no error.
The smtp is correctly configured , because all the functions requiring the sending of email are operating (registration, contact form ....etc...)

I have exactly the same problem...emails never arrive...
all other joomla mail functions work ok...
In global conf my mail setup is the default: "PHP mail function"

is is ok...
Properties for a specific menu link are not transferred from the general properties...
So I just modified the properties for the specific guest book and now it is working fine :)

Hi Jan.
Ich mache jetzt einfach mal auf deutsch weiter ;)

Ich habe genau das gleiche Problem. Ich nutze aktuell Version 1.3.2 Beta und kriege einfach keine Benachrichtigungen über neue Einträge.
Alle anderen Systemnachrichten (Kontakt, Registrierung,...) kommen an. Ich nutze die PHP mail-Funktion
Sowohl in den Global-Settings, als auch in den Items-Settings ist die Benachrichtigung aktiviert.

Aktivieren/Deaktivieren der Option "Review" ändert nichts.
Hab ich evtl. was übersehen?

Hast du die e-mail Adresse in Parameters Component angegeben? Wenn ja, versuche die SMTP mail Funktion (aber ich glaube, da sollte es nicht liegen, weil Phoca Guestbook nutzt die Joomla! Framework mail Funktion)

Hallo Jan.
Danke für deine Antwort.
Die Emailadresse ist in der Userverwaltung von Joomla hinterlegt. In den Settings von Phoca Guestbook habe ich dann den entsprechenden User ausgewählt.
Weder über die PHP-Mail Funktion noch über SMTP erhalte ich eine Email.

Oder muss ich die Adresse manuell in irgendeiner Config-Datei hinterlegen?
