Multiple Add - Java Upload fails

Post by m.kraehmer@gmx.de »

Dear all,

After reading many many articles in several forums I still haven't found a solution for my issue. I hope you are able to helpo me out.

Environment:
- Joomla 1.5.25
- Phoca Gallery 2.8.1
- Client: different Browser an JAVA versions

Error Message:
wjhk.jupload2.policies.PictureUploadPolicy.checkUploadSuccess(): The string "^SUCCESS$" was not found in the response body

How to get there:
(1) Joomla Admin Login
(2) Components -> Phoca Gallery -> Images -> Multiple Add
(3) Config: Published>Yes / Category>Any Category / Filename>Any Filename
(4) Java Upload: Add two files and click upload

Getting debug information:
(1) left click Java applet
(2) press "ctrl" and right click Java applet -> choose "debug enable"
(3) press "ctrl" and right click Java applet -> choose "show log windows"
(4) after error message: press "ctrl" and right click Java applet -> choose "View last Response Body"

The result from "View last Response Body" is the typical Joomla Admin Login Page (like this):
Joomla! Administration Login

Username
Password

Use a valid username and password to gain access to the Administrator Back-end.
Return to site Home Page

Warning! JavaScript must be enabled for proper operation of the Administrator back-end.

Any ideas why I have to authenticate again? How to turn of?

Many thanks,
Mark

Hi, unfortunatelly I cannot say anything about Java, this is experimental function (feature) in Phoca Gallery which is used by many users but by many users, this make problems on their PC as the java applets are sometimes problematic.

You can disable whole feature in Options, but how to remove the autentification, really no idea - maybe this is some java security feature etc. so it does not remember the session, etc. :-(
