Menu Link File View Sorting

Is there a way to change the sort order so that when I create a new menu link to a file view that I don't have to look through my entire file library to find a particular file, either change it to sort it alphabetically or to make it show the category each file is stored in? we have 100's of files on our site, and It's hard to find them in this unsorted list.
