I cant use this component because I need to give custom names to my pictures.
Is there a way to achieve this?

Hi,
select your image in the backend, choose the edit button (or just click on the name).
then you get an edit dialog - change here the title and voilà the name is changed. This name appears in the category view.

that way the photo name will be different from the file name?
This can only be done in backend? If a user manages his gallery from frontend will he be able to give the name he wants?

only by adding the image, he can add the title of the images and description (need to be enble in parameters)
