No Meta Keywords and Description

Post by Brujo »

Good day,

I have no Meta Keywords & Description set on Joomla Global Settings but in Metadata Options on the Menu Link for the Guestbook. Anyhow in the source code I cant see any Keyword or description. Do I miss something here ? what else can I check?

Any hint would be helpful

Guestbook: 2.0.7
Joomla: 2.5.8

Kind regards

Hi, no idea what can be wrong, this should be normally displayed by Joomla! - try to add the data to the guestbook in administration of the Phoca Guestbook, so they should be displayed there.

 when I read your answer that it is normally shown - I was already belive my installation is broken...
therefor I did a pur plain Joomla installation and installed just the guestbook, seted up one Guestbook and an entry. So no global metadata settings, no sef, no url rewiting - nada. Then I created the menuitem with the metakey & description in the Menulink Meta Options, opend the guestbook url on frontend, looked at the source code - and.. and... and... nope no Metadata on the guestbook url, so at least I know it has nothing to do with my environment byself. cant it be that the Guestbook overwrite this metadata somehow?
try to add the data to the guestbook in administration of the Phoca Guestbook, so they should be displayed there.
I do not find this place to add at the Guestbook...

Hi, if they are set in Guestbook options, then they overwrite the menu items.
