Some JPG files "not supported"

Post by dbolton »

When I upload photos to the image gallery via "add multiple" several of the jpg files are rejected after the upload has finished. The completion bar reports "unsupported file type". Why does Phoca reject certain jpg files?

I tried the media manager but had the same problem. I guess this is a Joomla problem rather than phoca. The "invalid" images open fine in several image viewers including my browser and the Windows XP preview.

I tried to upload one of the images with this post but the forum also reported it as an "invalid file type".

Hi, you should try to save your image in some image editor and maybe then it can be read by the GD library.

Hi there,

if you have message "File type is not supported" and your files have all requirements (size, pixels, type etc.) - check name files - default joomla can upload files ONLY in english words.
