I would like to give certain (trusted) users front end UCP access starting from the image root folder.
Is there any way to do this?
In case not, how can I set ONE user owner of root so that he/she can access, create and delete categories and upload images without restrictions. I know how to make a folder where he/she can do that, but I want to make him/her OWNER of the image root folder.

Hi, to administrate gallery, you can use some rights for backend editing. In frontend, every user can only managa it own category with one main root category:

Thx Jan, I already read that part. But I wanted to do it from the root gallery, which apparently doesn't work. But it's OK, I have set it up.
I do have another problem though: clicking on images (in admin) produces an empty page, which means I can't work on the images anymore. Surely some plugin or so is interfering, but I have no idea where to start. Any ideas?

Hi, try to enable php error reporting and debug mode, maybe you will get some error instead of white page. See:
