Shadowbox maximum limitcount

I have 165 images in a gallery and want to use shadowbox (detail=3) to display the gallery. However if I do not set a limitcount or set it to a number greater than 77 it does not work. Is there a way of over riding this limit or is it a bug?

I know I can create multiple galleries within an article using limitstart and limitcount as a workaround, but cannot find anything on google that indicates there is a limited number of images in a shadowbox.

I am using joomla 2.5.4 stable with phoca gallery and plugin version 3.2.0

These are the parameters I am using and if you set limitcount to 78 or more or remove it from the parameters - shadowbox does not work

phocagallery view=category|categoryid=3|limitstart=0|limitcount=77|detail=3|displayname=1|displaydetail=0|displaydownload=0|imageshadow=shadow1

Hi, the detail (image) only displayes images of the site, not images which are not listed on the site, see:
