images not linked to categories

I have just upgraded to Joomla 2.5 and followed the instructions to get images and categories into Phocagallery (v 3.2.1). The Control Panel allows me to see images and categories, with category info against each image. The front end does not show any categories, and the back end filters do not show any images within the categories! This all worked OK when i tried it in my test system on localhost, but won't work properly in the live site.

Help!

update - i've reinstalled phocagallery and it now shows in front end, but still have the same problem with the filter in the back end

Hmmm, tested the filter without having any such problem try to test cache and session settings on your server site
