fill-in checked_out_time field

Hi,
i would like to know if it was possible to make phocagallery generate automatically the date of creation of a new category.
i think it's possible cause the field checked_out_time is empty and it has a date format, but i don't know which file i've got to modify to get this field filled-in when creating a new category from joomla's backend.

Hi, there is no such option , there is checked_out_time field, but in this field the last edit is saved, not the creation date
