Hello all,
It seems that users who have disabled saving cookies (notably IE users who have set their privacy settings to 'High' or above) cannot add messages to a Phoca Guestbook. I have had e-mails from several people over the last few months, complaining the guestbook was not working when in fact I could add their messages no problem whatsoever (using Firefox).
The problem occurs using Joomla 1.5 with Guestbook 1.3.2 but also with Joomla 1.7 and Guestbook 2.4. For good measure, I also tested a clean installation of the latest Joomla and Guestbook versions, which also has the problem. It occurs using IE7, IE8 and IE9 (with high privacy settings). Captcha and word filter settings do not affect this behaviour.
Hope there is a server-side solution to this, otherwise I guess I will have to tell my visitors to adjust their settings.
