Categories vs. Category view

Hi everybody!

First of all, I would like to thank the developer for such a hard work on Gallery and other great stuff.

I'm trying to create a gallery with multiple categories and subcategories. Main menu is consisted of 3, somewhere 4 levels. I want levels 1 and 2 to be accessible from the main horizontal menu, and levels 3 and 4 from the tree menu on the right side of the web page but only on specific pages. This is where my problem arrises.

When I create a link to Categories view, everything works as I aspect.

Now you can click on gallery you like and everything is fine and you can see right side menu with links to subcategories.

I also created a level 2 links, one to display subcategory with a pics from Croatia, and one displaying pics from the rest of the world.

Now, when you click the subcategory, pics are shown, but there is no right side menu and the path in the address bar is different.

Is there anything that I can do to resolve this? I'm new to Joomla, so any help would be appreciated.

Hi, disable SEF and see the Itemid of the url, and check if the module is assigned to such Itemid. (Itemid = Menu link ID where module is assigned to menu links)

Thank you for your reply.

Although I did not understand what you meant, I took another look at the module settings and found the error. In Menu Assignment, I did not select pages that are linked to those two Subcategories.

That menu came with a template.
