Category View Setttings (Thumbnails) do not ahve any effect

Hi,

The settings for "Category View Setttings (Thumbnails)" do not have any effect on the frontpage. Are there any further dependencies?
I already tried chmod -R 777, but no difference...

BTW: I want to use some advanced styling, like "margin: 10px 5px 5px 20x;" (etc.), therefore an option to turn off the styling with backend settings would be great.

Did you change the settings in parameters - component in menu link, see padding and margin settings too:
