Problems installing Phocagallery please help

Hi, I have been using phocagallery for a while quite successfully until last week! I had a problem with my whole site which lead to me having to restore everything including the db via a backup that was created with akeeba backup.
This initially worked well and everything work as usually, apart from phocagallery, i noticed i no longer could import my facebook images, and when i went into the facebook settings and click to view them all the styling disappeared from the page and i could edit or update the settings.
I then un-installed and re-installed with the latest version but when i now try to install i get two messages, one that says the component was successfully installed and another that says in red "Another menu item with the same parent has this alias, Error building Admin Menus". I can see the start page for phocagallery that asks whether i want to Upgrade or Install. i have un-installed and re-installed again choosing both options but i still have the same problem! which includes that i cannot see the phocagallery in the admin component menu and if i want to edit or add facebook settings i cannot and if i try to import into my existing catagories its goes to a blank screen and hangs.

If any of you guys know whats happening and have a solution it would be much appreciated?

Thank you Jan that thread helped resolve the menu issue I did do a forum search to see if this had be discussed before but didn't get any results.

However I still have the same problem as before that lead to me to un-installing and re-installing.

I go to create the facebook app link, with the App ID and App Secret. Once I've saved these details in the facebook users admin both the Name and User ID show as "not yet set".

If i click on the user i seen a new page with no joomla control panel or any styling to the page at all.

If i try to create a catagory, it does show me the App ID no, thought before i remember it showing my name, if i select the number and hit the button Select Gallery a new window opens with the Joomla phocagallery control panel with the error message "Facebook API Error: A session key is required for calling this method (453)"

This then starts the whole cycle again of un-stalling and re-installing, then having no menu fixing that posting.php?mode=reply&f=1&t=18295#

I have the latest version of Joomla 2.5 and phoca 3.1.5.

Any other ideas on how to fix this would be appreciated.

Hmmm, do you really run 3.1.5, there should not be a problem with session key ??? tested many times and didn't get such problem (with old or new facebook applications)

yes definitely running 3.1.5 just double checked via the phoca control panel. However my original version of Joomla was 1.7 with up to updates, then I upgraded to 2.5.

2.5 - this should not be a problem - I am testing now again and no problems with it (and testing two applications - one old, second new)

i don't know if it would help but i could give you a log in for the site and site address via direct message?

Is there any other information i can provided to help solve this issue? As I said I'm more than happy to provide you with a login for my site or send you any copies of the installed component?

Hi, I think, getting your admin login will not help me while detecting the problem (mostly this is external feature and problems can occurs on different places, not only in Joomla! )
