Gallery 3.1.2: Facebook Connection on Joomla 2.5.0

Hello guys!

It seems that I've the same problem as "mjmm" posted in the thread viewtopic.php?f=1&t=12398&start=40. As this thread is marked as "solved" I decided to open a new one - I hope this is ok.

I was able to install the component and to connect with my facebook account. But when I want to select a album I always get the error "Facebook API Error: A session key is required for calling this method (453)".
I followed the instructions in the manual and also read the thread above. But unfortunatly it seems that this problem persists.

I'm running on Joomla 2.5.0 stable and Phoca Gallery 3.1.2 stable. It's a new site and no other components are installed up to now. The php-parameters mentioned in the manual are enabled.

Any suggestions??

Now I've upgraded to 3.1.3 but the problem still exist.

Same problem here running Phoca Gallery 3.1.2 and Joomla 1.7.4 on a new development test site.

Hmm, really no idea what can be wrong there:

tested on 1.7.4, 2.5.0 (linux, windows, ...) and no problems there

hmm... Strange issue. Probably it has something to do with a new Facebook-Connection? For me it's the first time ever I tried to connect my Facebook-profile with Phoca Gallery. And the creation of a FB application as well.
Have you tested creating a completly new connection?

As I've seen you run the English version of the gallery. I don't guess that this matters, but I've installed the German language package.
I figured out that the creation of the Facebook-Application runs slightly differnt than described in the documentation. There are much more fields which has to be filled out. Perhaps FB has something important changed? Please let me know if you need a description how I created the application.

Hi, confirmed, I have created new application and tested it. By newly created application the session does not match - I have searched through all the facebook documentation but didn't find anything to this issue - found some unanswered questions. Checked new php apis but they don't work at all.

Will do more tests... I hope I will find more information.

It seems like new applications get different SIG procedure, so I have changed some code in FB API, try to test 3.1.4

For me 3.1.4 is working with new applications.
