Hi there,
could somebody please explain to me, what actual folders are being created on the ftp-server,
when a user uploads an image or creates a new category?
After some tests I thought I understood, that when "user1" creates a phoca-folder "event1" this creates
a folder named "user1-event1" in the phocaimage-root. While I don't understand, why phoca does not simply
create an analogue to the folder-structure in phoca-gallery, I could live with that.
However, when that very same user creates another category, all his images will also be uploaded into the
folder "user1-event1". (Which makes that folder-naming lose all of its meaning).
So please,
a) do really ALL images of the user go into the first folder he ever created, irrespective of the phoca-category?
b) Is there any way to change that? Because this difference between the phoca-structure and the actual ftp-structure is unnecessarily irritating my users.
Thx, sov
Pls clarify user upload file structre on FTP server

Hi, in the forum, I have explainded the PROs of the independent database and filesystem layer in Phoca Gallery - categories != folders ... try to search similar posts to get it fully explained.
a) they are stored in main folder of user
b) yes, you can customize it and bind folder to category but I din't do such modification yet, so cannot give any advice there
