Image Meta Tags

Hi guys

Just a a quick question as I couldn't find this in the documentation or on the forum boards.

I've always used phocagallery but I have had a request for a gllery component that automatically reads the images meta keywords and copyright info on upload, ensuring that they are preserved.

Additionally using the meta keywords the photographer has added using his image editing software for search?

Phocagallery doesn't seem to do this as standard is their a plugin or is it a feture that's on it's way, i'd like to stick with phoca if I can as it is so reliable and I don't want to have to start trawling the extensions directory looking for an alternative with these features.

Hi, for now there is no such option and I don't know such plugin but if you have some more info about this, it can be added to feature request list (this can be similar to reading gps coordinations from exif - but no experiences for now )

I posted on a few photographer websites and have found this is a massively desired feature but absolutely no component is doing it, although some claim if you just upload the original photo direct and post to web google is able to read the tags. But components such as phoca strip them off.
