There can be many reasons. E.g. your GD library doesn't work and didn't create an image, or there is a wrong path to image, or there is some php error message resp. warning which is rendered before image is rendered in browser ...so then the image is not displayed ... :(

see your GD and see your link to image (you find it in html code of your site)

Hi,
:: try to check your gd support (see administration - help - system info - php information)...

:: if it is possible, try to enable error reporting to on, maybe there is some php error or php warning which is rendered before image is rendered, this error stop from rendering the image

:: see your url to the image, maybe the url creating is wrong (see it in html code of your page)

:: see parameters component in menu manager - menu link to guestbook, see if captcha is enabled...

???? ... there were no changes between 1.3 beta and 1.3 ... the version 1.3 beta was without problems so I have renamed it to 1.3 ??? ... Try to re-save the Phoca Guestbook link in Menu Manager, maybe there is a problem with Itemid...

After every upgrade it is important to resave the menu links (because there can be problem in SEF while creating link, e.g.)

See Important:

I think there must be a problem with the update from 1.3 beta to 1.3. I had exactly the same problem with captcha. Refreshing the menu item didn't help. I made the website offline and used FTP to reset the directories "components/com_phocaguestbook" and "administrator/components/com_phocaguestbook". I just uploaded this directories from an backup of the 1.3 beta version. Now it's working again...

I concur! I have just upgraded from the beta to the final and now the Captcha is no longer appearing.

Have saved the menu link, deleted caches and changed captchas. No luck.
