use uncropped image for thumb

Hi, i was wondering is it possible for either to set the image module to use the small image source as opposed to medium? or if that is not then i understand the medium image is used on the gallery and the default image module, i know in the module config u can get it to not crop the medium image however how can i get it to only uncrop in the module while the gallery page it crops? if that makes sence?

Just thought id let people know how i did manage to do it in the end. Let the module use the small image source and in the config the crop option tell it to crop medium only. For some reason it crops the small image.
