Can't upload from frontend.

Hi,
I have a problem with the upload from the front end. The form is display, i select a picture from my computer, after clicking on "start upload", it seems to work ("loading") but nothing's happen.
From the backend, all works fine, i can create categories, upload pictures, etc...
The only things i can make from frontend are unpublish or delete a picture.
I verify the directories on the server, a "phocagallery" directory is present in "images", the files uploaded from the backend are here, the rights are ok.
I have the same problem on two differents sites.
The phocagallery version is 1.8.8, joomla 1.5.3.

Hi, see your pemissions and ownership of phoca gallery folder or of tmp folder (because of uploading)...

I too have the same problem.
I can upload via frontend, but can't unpublish/authorize documents on phocadownload... neither can delete. Just click and nothing happens.

When press delete it shows the confirmation message to delete it but it won't work....

I have J1.7 with:

JCE
Phocagallery
phocadownload
redirect on login
User Article Manager

and nothing more....

anyway to diagnoss the problem?
