Image Description Not Storing

Phoca Gallery 3.0.2 installed, on Joomla 1.6. Using JCE as editor, with "All Components" selected in the default (only backend) profile.

After uploading several images using multiple add, I'm now attempting to add descriptions for each, as well as unique titles and aliases.

I have one image where the description stored. Not sure how this occurred.

The problem ... no description will store. For the one image, if this description is changed or more is added, still the old description is what shows on the next edit.

This is critical functionality to get the site functional. Any ideas?

yes, in fact every basic function is critical and if it does not work, it is not good.

Did the same happen e.g. if you switch to standard editor? Do you get some error message?

Wrote a long reply the next day, but must have gotten sidetracked before I hit "submit", so here is what I remember...

Yes, I thought I did turn off the JCE Editor. Here is what I did do:
- In JCE->Profiles, Editing the Default profile, I selected "Only Selected Components", then selected everything except for PhocaGallery.
- In Plugins, I ordered the available Editors to have JCE first, followed by TinyMCE.
- In PhocaGallery, editing an Image, the editor area now shows with no icons. Adding or changing text, then clicking on Save does nothing.

I also tried several variations:
- Disabling the JCE plugin - resulting in an error message in Editor.php on line 300 or 333 (something in that range)
- Enabled JCE plugin, but make it last, got the same results as above
(Note, with above JCE editor showed in Article Editor, but in this case got an editor without icons)
The Article Manager saved updates in both settings.
- Reordered the plugins to have CodeMirror first. Same results as above.

I'm thinking of starting over with a completely fresh Joomla install.

Any ideas you might have are appreciated.

Hi, do you get the problem, if you will enable standard TinyMCE editor in Global configuration in Joomla!
