Slideshow modules using parent categorie

Hello,

I have been looking around on the forum for several hours and affraid I didn't find the answer.
So although I am almost sure this has been discussed more then once, I hope someone can come up with the simple tric,

I have tried the slideshow module Nivo, Floom and also Noob, to see if either of one does do what I am looking for,

I want to show all the images placed in one of the subcategories of one parent category. When I enter the ID of the parent category nothing is shown. Also tried to enter the id's of the subcategories,, but that only leads to showing the images of the first mentioned subcategory.

Hope there is a simple solution for it, since I sure do like the way those slideshows are working,

PS using the latest versions of Joomla, Phoca gallery and the mentioned slideshow modules

Hi, the slideshow only shows the images from the selected category, if you need to display images from its subcategories, then the module needs to be customized - first get the info about all subcategories for the parent category, then run the foreach for all them.
