Downloading files larger then 180 mb

Hi, all
I'm not sure what I did wrong... It seams, that I added files in the back end exactly the same way as I added all other (smaller size) files... But, the largest file PD will let download from front end (by clicking on the "Download" button) - is 179 Mb. If I try to download the file even 187 Mb, then instead of download screen(windows explorer window popup to choose saving location), new page opens with just preview player in it, and it starts to play.... Now, I did find awkward way around it - right clicking on the player at that point and choosing "Save video as" will start the download (even though, it is and mp3 file)....
Can anyone tell me why this might be happening? And if there is a way to fix it, so it'll work the normal way?

Hi, maybe you should try to check your server, if there are no limits for download large files, if it does not return wrong header, etc.

Please forgive my ignorance, but how downloading large files limit can effect that? I'm still able to download it anyway(after preview player opens and starts playing it)... Just not directly by pressing "Download" button...

So, are you saying that it is still possible to download file (from right clicking preview player and doing "Save as"), even if there are size restrictions set on the server side?

Hi, Phoca Download does not set any limits for donwload. It only gives information from server to visitor's browser, so then the comunication works between the server and browser. So the only limitation can be then e.g. on server (or in browser - I think not). But I am not server expert so really cannot say - I think only, because some server has different security settings.

Hmm, interesting. Thank you I'll ask them and see if they do have any settings set on their side, that does not allow direct downloads...
