Trying to view Category leads to a messed up page.

Hi,

First thank you for the support and great component.

This is not the first time I use Phoca Gallery, this time however it did not work!

I installed a fresh install of Joomla 1.7, installed languages (Arabic), and installed the Phoca Gallery Component (only).
I have created a Category, and a sub Category in which I have uploaded 88 photos. Everything seems to work perfectly out of the box.

When I try to see the photos form the first page, I get a white page with menu names, an article from the first page...
I have tried changing into the default templates of joomla, and the same problem still exists.

Hi, not sure what can be wrong there, try to disable SEF, if this will have the same behaviour

Thank you for the reply.

I have done some experiments...
And I have got to nothing!!!

I have reinstalled Joomla 1.7 (FRESH)
Did not install anything BUT Phoca Gallery.

Uploaded some photos, when I clicked on a gallery I had and error page.
I Disabled SEF, and I could get into the gallery, but when I clicked on a photo, I received the same error!!!

Is it a bug in Joomla 1.7 or Phoca?
Do I need to install any extra plugs?

Hey guys,

I am not sure how to explain it but I did the following and it worked.
It's a joomla related setup issue and not phoca issue !

I have enabled SEF
changed htaccess.txt to .htaccess
Enabled URL rewriting and suffix

and the website works perfectly for now.
