Hey all,
I've incorporated guestbooks for two of my client sites (including Phoca Guestbook Latest Entries Module) and they both keep complaining about the incessant spam. I've read the anti-spam article on this site and made the necessary changes, but they still keep getting through, and my clients keep complaining to the point where I suspect they'll eventually want Phoca Guestbook removed.
I was thinking of a way to reduce the amount of spammers. There should be a button in the items view to ban the posting IP and not have to go into the parameters to do it. This makes it easier for my clients to do it themselves.
If anyone else has any other suggestions I'd appreciate it. Is it worth upgrading to 2.0? I think I'm currently using 1.4.4.
Thanks.

Hi, did you test to allow only registered users to add a post?
In frontend you can remove the posts for now

I implemented ReCAPTCHA. You could hack it in... I am not certain yet, if it really helps against the spam problem.
