Problem with Modal Box and Internet Explorer

Hello!

My configuration is:
- Joomla 1.7.0
- Phoca Gallery 3.0.2

My detail view in Phoca G. is set to "Modal Box". It works fine in Firefox and Chrome, but when I try to open an image with Internet Explorer 9 (now I tried only with IE9, but other users report same problem with IE8), the image is shown on another page and not with the javascript effect.

In that page, "next", "previous", "start slideshow", "stop slideshow" works good and the slideshow has also the correct fade-in fade-out animation. The only button that doesn't work is the "Quit" button.

What am I doing wrong?

PS: same issue is reported using different effect for "detail view".

Hi, testing in IE without any problem, see:



The javascript conflict on the site needs to be found to sure what is in conflict on the site. The modal box is a part of Joomla!, so Joomla! library methods are loaded.

Try to check as in other cases, if e.g. some of the extension does not use e.g. jquery (without nonconflict mode, etc.)
