Upload resolution limit doesn't work

Hi,

if I set the max upload resolution to 1024x768px and want to upload a bigger picture, it allows and upload it. How can it be? I don't want, that my users consume all the space with uploading huge pictures.
Java upload with autoresize works fine, but I'm not able to disable the normal upload option.

So, what I can do?

Do you mean in frontend, testing now and it works ok for me?
