error 500

I'm using Joomla 1.6 and I've installed the Phoca Gallery Component 3.0.2 properly (with no errors so far). I've followed the "quick start guide" on the Phoca website and I succeeded in uploading the images (I can do it either via FTP and via Multiple add without mistakes). Nevertheless when I try to save all (so far I've uploaded my images in their folders) I get a 500 error page so I can't save all I've done so far (it seems that even the thumbnail creation process it's not working). How can I fix this? (I just want to make a picture slideshow or something of that sort, but I didn't get how to do it completely and I will appreciate your help..)

Hi, enable debug mode an php error reporting to get info about the error on your site.
