Geotagging problem, PLEASE HELP!

I am trying to set up geotagging for my phoca album but I am having problems. The documentation says to get an API key, (which I did) and put that API key into the

Menus » e.g. Main Menu » [New | Edit] button » Phoca Gallery » Phoca Gallery Category List Layout | Phoca Gallery Category Layout » Parameters Component » Geotagging Settings :

I do not see place there to put the API Key. The only items I see are:

Display Geotagging (Categories)
Categories - Geotagging Longitude [ ]
Categories - Geotagging Latitude [ ]
Categories - Geotagging Zoom [ 2 ]
Categories - Map Width [ ]
Categories - Map Height [ 500 ]

Display Geotagging Icon

Display Geotagging (Category)
Category - Map Width [ ]
Category - Map Height [ 400 ]

Am I just stupid?

Forgot to mention I am using Joomla 1.5 with the latest version of Phoca Gallery.

I have been through the documentation a number of times, and I still can not get geotagging working. Can someone help me set this up PLEASE? I leave in 2 weeks for a 2 month trip to Poland and the Czech Republic and plan on taking a lot of photos. I want to get this working so friends and family can see where my photos are taken.

Hi, the API3 is used now in Phoca Gallery so you don't need the API key anymore, the map should be displayed automatically.

Thank you for the reply. Its not displaying the location on the map... so what am i doing wrong? Should I have not created a lat long in the Category when I first created it? Because everything after that is showing the Lat Long I put in for for the Catergory. I can give you admin if needed so you can take a look at what is going on.

Hi, in category edit or image edit, you should be able to click on coordinates button which should display the map, clicking on the map, the category or image should get the geo information.

I went to image edit for one of my images with Lat/ Long, nothing you suggested gives me the Lat/Long of the image.

I tried to get the geotagging function to work with an new install on another site and I was not able to get the googlemaps to show up with the location from the Lat / Long EXIF data included in the images there either.

I figured that if it worked here then it was an issue with plugin or something on the other website, but I still have a problem. So I guess that there are 2 possibilities.

I am doing something wrong or something in PhocaGallery geotagging is not working correctly.

Hi, do you see the map in the backend after clicking on coordinates button?

Yes, I see a map, and where I click will put those coordinates into the Latitude and Longitude box. But, I did not think that is how the geotagging tool works? I thought it took the Latitude and Longitude from the EXIF data in the photo and created a map showing the position the photo was taken.

Hi, you need to add the coordinates manually.

Since 3.0.1 version, the geotagging is added automatically while adding images to Phoca Gallery (if the images include GPS parameters in EXIF)
