How do I turn off image authorization

Post by waterwalk »

I have a page where I want to let visitors upload pictures after they have verified their account via email. Once they are verified, they sign in and can upload a picture but the image doesn't show up until admin approves it.

I went into the parameters and then to upload settings where it says "enable user upload image authorization'. I have tried this option with both 'yes' and 'no' and it still forces authorization by admin.

Is there some way to turn this off so they can just display immediately?

Thanks.

Just checking back on this. Is there no way to turn off the authorization for the photos so once the person is registered they can just upload their photo?

Hi, did you set it in menu link to the gallery where users can upload?

Not sure how this link was supposed to help me. There is just one page that is set up through the menu link. They land on the same page that they can upload photos on. The registration goes fine. They can login and start the upload but their image will not appear until it gets approved by admin. Isn't there some way to let them upload without the image getting approved? This is the page:

The only link that matters is the page that you land on which is the contest link.

Hi, it is set to default, then users can upload without authorization.

The link should tell you that there are two possible settings in Joomla! where someone could set it to other than default values - where someone could enable the authorization function. So you should test if it is enabled.

So, the answer is: Yes, there is a way they can upload without getting approved and this is a default setting in Phoca Gallery.
